Plans for the 2021-2022 Season and Opening Registration
Hello Everyone,
We are excited to announce that the County has provided us some details on the upcoming season and with this, we have met as an Executive, along with the team reps to put the initial stages of the season together. Below we have outlined all the details we currently have at this time and what registration looks like.
Goal for the Season:
Our goal and hope for the season is that we can return to a full league with 8 teams. This will see us return to 13 skaters per team (as the 2019-2020 season). This would see us play traditional 5 on 5 hockey with normal league rules.
Information from the County and CARHA:
Below are the documents presented to us from the county and CARHA. Please note that until we are past Stage 3 of the Provincial Reopening Plan, we are not 100% clear on how our league will be impacted.
Highlights on Details from the County:
- Dressing Rooms Open to a Max of 10 Players; unclear how limits change when we get past Stage 3
- We can get dressed in the rink again
- No Showers
- There will be some restrictions related to COVID (too early to know what they are yet)
- The League will be required to submit and have approved by Haldimand County, a Safety Plan
- Adherence to the Safety Plan by all members will be a requirement for all players.
Please review these documents in detail.
