Sept 21, 2021 Details from the County: Adult Hockey COVID-19 Protocols

We have been receiving some calls/emails from groups, requiring clarification on what are the responsibilities of the permit holder and who will screen participants for COVID-19, check vaccination status, etc.  Please see details below:

  1. Everyone must enter through the front doors for screening.
  2. The permit holder (or their designate) must be at the facility 30 minutes prior to the rental start time in order to do the Covid-19 screening (please see attached document with the Covid-19 screening questions that must be answered).
  3. Permit holders must keep a record of everyone participating each week, including name and phone number for contact tracing.  This record is to be kept for a minimum of 30 days, and provided to Public Health upon request.  This includes any game officials.
  4. County staff will screen all participants, officials and spectators for proof of vaccination.  Until such time as the province release the QR code, they must present their Ministry of Health receipt and personal identification.
  5. The only exemption permitted by the province for those 18+ are those that provide a written document completed and supplied by a physician that sets out:

i.      A documented medical reason for not being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and

ii.      The effective time period for the medical reason.

  1.  County staff will also screen all spectators for vaccination status.  All spectators 12+ will also need to provide proof of vaccination or medical exemption, as in (4) above.
