Registration Information
Registration is Open to New Goalies and Returning Goalies from the Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey Association. All Goalies MUST be 30 or Older on or Before March 31st 2023

  1. Goalies Selection and Registration:

    Goalies Spots will not be confirmed by registration.   Goalies will be selected by the Executive and Teams Reps in August, early September - we will select goalies as soon as possible to give goalies as much notice as we can.

    We will open 16 spots for goalies to sign up

    Registration is not first come first serve

    Goalies will be selected and offered spots by the league.  All remaining goalies may choose to spare for the league.

    Goalies will not need to pay registration fees upon signing up.  Registration fees will only be due upon confirmation of selection by the Caledonia Oldtimers Executive.

  2. Use of Email: 
    By supplying my email address, I agree to receive registration, league, game and general information from Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey and its affiliated Associations.  The email address(es) provided above will be used for member communication by Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey and Team Reps throughout the hockey season.  

    Please notify the Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey Executive via the Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey website to have an email id removed from the mail list.
  3. Over the course of the season, player names (including team lists) are included on the Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey Association website, public Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey displays and possibly newspaper publications. Additionally, throughout the season, individual and team pictures and videos are taken at various Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey Association events (and may be used beyond the current year). Your permission is requested to use your full name and photographs/videos .
  4. RELEASE AND DISCHARGE (please read carefully):

    I hereby release and forever discharge Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey Association, its Officers, Directors, Convenors, Team Reps, Referees or other Officials and the Town of Caledonia (County of Haldimand) from all claims, demands, damages, actions or causes of action arising or to arise by and reason because of my participation in any Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey program, in this or any successive years(s), including (but without limiting the generality of the foregoing) any and all dental and medical bills and further of and from all claims or demands whatsoever in law or in equity which I, my heirs, executors, administrators or assignors can, shall or may have by reason aforesaid.
  5. By registering in the Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey Association for the 2022-23 season, the expectation is that all players will adhere to the rules and policies laid out by the Province, County, Local Public Health Office, CARHA and the Association itself.  Failure to comply with these rules can result in players receiving warnings and or removal from the league without refund.

    While there are currently no COVID related restrictions to play in our league, we will have to comply with all requirements put in place by the Federal Government, Province, County, Local Public Health Office and CARHA. These requirements are subject to change at any time during the season and our league has not choice but to abide by any changes these bodies put in place

    This could include the requirement of vaccination in order to play.  
    No refunds will be issued to unvaccinated player who have to withdraw from the league, if one of these bodies mandate vaccination as a requirement to play part, way through the season.

    Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey Association reserves the right to change these policies without notice.  The pandemic is a fluid situation that changes so rapidly that these policies and procedures have been created at a moment in time based on the current conditions in the community. 

    These policies will be posted on the Association's website along with policies from CARHA and Haldimand County.

    All policy changes will be distributed to the league immediately upon receiving board approval.

    All policy changes resulting from directives from the province, county, local public health office or any other governing authority shall be effective immediately.  These will be distributed to the league immediately upon receiving.

  6. Attendance, Contact Tracing and Health Screening

    Attendance Confirmation using the TeamSnap App (or on a Computer) is mandatory for participation in the Caledonia Oldtimers Hockey Association

    All players m
    ust sign in on the App (or on a Computer) by the deadline each week.

    Players will be required to meet minimum attendance requirements:
    Players must play 4 out of the 1st 10 Games
    The league will remove players from the league who do not meet these requirements
    Players must play 8 out of 21 games in order to qualify for the Playoffs
    Players who do not play 8 games will not be allowed to play in the playoffs
    Any player who has a confirmed, legitimate injury will be subject to consideration for exemption by the
    - These will be handled on a case by case situation
    Players are required to the use the TeamSnap Attendance App
    - Failure to use this app may result in a player being removed from the league

    Contract Tracing and Health Screening Health Screening are not mandatory at this time, though this is subject to change and if mandated, will be a requirement for participation in the league.
