New Executive
Submitted By Andrew Guidolin on Saturday, July 31, 2021
Hello Everyone,

With the upcoming season, we have a few changes to our executive.

Doug Beemer will be stepping down as Vice President.  We would like to thank Doug for all his efforts and contribution to our league over the years.  We hope to see Doug around the rink on Monday nights.

Andrew Guidolin - President

Kevin Rupert - Vice President

James McKenna - Treasurer

Henk Lise - Special Events Coordinator

Brent Richardson - Health & Safety Coordinator

Jason McColman - Spares Coordinator

Stephen Gauld - Officials & Timekeepers Coordinator

Open - Discipline Committee Chair; See more below

Discipline Committee
This season we are going to be trying something different.  We will be asking one person from each team to sit on the discipline committee.  On top of the 8 representatives, we would like someone to chair this committee.  Then for any incident that requires the committee, 3 representatives would sit in on the matter, with guidance from the chair to make a decision on the matter.  The chair will not have a vote on the matter, just guide the group.  Each time the committee is required to meet, it will involve 3 different team representatives, so that this does not fall onto the same 3 people every time.  As we get closer to the start of the season, we will be discussing this matter to finalize the details of how this committee will work.  if you are interested in being the committee chair, please reach out to Kevin Rupert or Andrew Guidolin.

League Meetings
There is another important update to provide you regarding the executive and league meetings.  Starting last season, league meetings now include our team representatives along with our executive.  Our goal is to have a more inclusive discussion and varying view points from across the league.  It also gives the chance for team reps to offer feedback directly from the room and ice.  Our hope is that this change allows for a more inclusive discussion and better represents our league as a while when we are making decisions for the league.
